Medical Photography - Kathabaha 23
Medical Photography is an extremely specialized genre of photography. At times, exponents of medical photography tend to emphasise too much on the medical aspect of this genre making the newcomers concentrate less on the basic principles of visual communication and photography.
The Clinical Society of Colombo South Teaching Hospital Kalubowila in collaboration with the Association of Plastic Surgeons of Sri Lanka has organised a landmark workshop for the the first time is Sri Lanka exclusively for doctors. This workshop, “Photography in a clinical Context” is scheduled to be held on the 22nd of June 2017 from 8:00 AM onwards at the Lionel Gunawardane auditorium of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital at Kalubowila.
The Institute of Multimedia Education (IME) is the sole resource body of this workshop and this episode of Kathabaha is all about the genre of medical photography and the workshop.
In this episode Dr Dinil Abeygunawaradane and Dr Ayasmantha Peiris of IME discuss the importance of photography in a clinical context with the consultant plastic surgeon of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital Dr Yasas Abeywickrama
